Fairprice Family Cook Off

In Australia they lined up to participate – filling in details about themselves, habits, loved ones… and all for the chance to be on the latest reality TV show. What’s in it – a chance to star, to perform – be famous for just a few weeks and they were lined up!

Here it  was so different  and allowing for an inherent “shyness” about the Asian personality, when we asked friends and neighbours  to register for the Fairprice Family Cook Off, the typical response was, “what’s the prize?” Fame and fortune wasn’t enough and instead the draw-card was the 10-day holiday and a cooking course in Tasmania – which is pretty awesome by any measure and for once, I wish that I could boil an egg!

So, come on Singapore –stop talking about food –and we all know that Singaporeans can TALK when it comes to anything on a plate – and let’s get those recipes out and start whipping up a dish or two. The great Family Cook Off is coming this way and it’s a chance to walk the talk!
